After an FTO has completed the state minimum rubber stamp course then burns through academy graduates as fast as they can fill the front seats, the monotony and training methods wear thin for both the FTO and the trainee. Let us put some emphasis on the “Training” part of your agencies FTO program instead of the same rate of return. This 24 hour course covers modern training principles including adult learning theory as it applies to law enforcement, basic leadership skill building, managing expectations and performance evaluation. If your FTO program consists of covering the trainees eyes and asking where you are, let us expand on that program.
